A business shouldn't need five different views to understand one customer
These are the operational problems the platform is designed to solve — seen first-hand in the workflow we observed while building the first implementation for Blossomfield Mortgages.
Cases spread across systems
In the workflow we observed, cases, follow-ups and client history sat in separate places — hard to see whole at once.
Pipeline visibility
What every adviser is working on, and where each case sits, is unclear without asking around.
Manual fee arithmetic
Proc fees, broker fees and commissions calculated and checked by hand, case by case.
Renewals slipping past
Mortgage expiries — the best repeat business a brokerage has — are difficult to monitor systematically.
Missed tasks and deadlines
Actions belong to people and dates, but nothing brings today's list together.
Slow management reporting
Gross written, net written and completed business take hours to assemble by hand.
The core platform
The underlying product is industry-neutral — designed around the operational shape most sales-led businesses share, then configured around each customer's workflow, terminology and rules.
Leads & customer records
Every enquiry and customer in one place, with the full history attached.
Configurable pipeline stages
Stages that match how your work actually progresses, with filtering and drill-down.
Tasks & ownership
Actions tied to customers, owners and due dates in one Action Centre.
Calendar & important dates
Events and deadlines visible where the work happens.
Income & operational reporting
Expected and completed income, reported at company and individual level.
Renewals & future opportunities
Dates that bring customers back, tracked in configurable windows with clear ownership.
The Blossomfield mortgage configuration
For its first customer, the platform is configured around a mortgage brokerage: applicants and mortgage cases, fact-find, adviser dashboards, proc fees, lender rate references and mortgage-specific reporting. Pick an area to see what it does.
Case pipeline
Every mortgage case moves through six stages — enquiry, submitted, offered, completed, on hold and cancelled — so the whole brokerage can see where everything stands.
- Filter by adviser, status and period
- Drill into any individual case
- Company and individual adviser dashboards
- Configurable dashboard widgets
Revenue and commission
One view of expected and completed income across every stream a brokerage earns — not just the mortgage itself.
- Proc fees
- Client-paid broker fees
- Life and home insurance commission
- Solicitor referral fees
An operational income view — the platform is not accounting software.
Renewal tracking
Mortgage expiry dates are the best repeat business a brokerage has. The platform keeps them visible instead of buried in old case files.
- Upcoming expiries in configurable windows
- Adviser ownership of each renewal
- Calendar view of events and deadlines
- Renewal alerts inside the tracker
Fact-find and client record
A structured multi-stage fact-find builds the client record step by step, with support for multiple applicants per case.
- Personal information, addresses and properties
- Dependants, income, assets and liabilities
- Protection and credit history
- Budget
Structured record-keeping for your operation — regulatory suitability to be confirmed separately.
Action Centre
Tasks connected to clients, advisers and deadlines — so today's list assembles itself instead of living in five places.
- Outstanding actions with due dates
- Assigned adviser on every task
- Completed status at a glance
- New task creation in seconds
Reporting
The management numbers a brokerage runs on, generated from the cases already in the system.
- Gross Written and Net Written (after cancellations)
- Completed-business reporting
- Adviser league tables
- Company view and individual adviser view
Proc-fee calculation
In the Blossomfield configuration, the platform holds a lender and product rate reference, and calculates an indicative proc fee from the mortgage amount and the selected product.
- Rate reference by lender and product
- Automatic indicative calculation per case
- Team, lender, default-fee and notification settings
Rates are maintained by your team and should be checked — they are not supplied live by lenders.
Customer workflow example: a Blossomfield mortgage case
How a case moves through the platform in the Blossomfield configuration — from first call to the next mortgage. Select a step to follow it through.
STEP 1 OF 10
New enquiry
A prospective client gets in touch. The enquiry is logged as a case at the very first stage, visible to the whole brokerage from day one.
Client and applicants created
The client record is opened, with as many applicants as the case needs — a couple, a family member, a guarantor.
Fact-find completed
The structured multi-stage fact-find walks through personal details, addresses, dependants, income, assets, liabilities, protection, credit history and budget — for each applicant.
Mortgage case added
The mortgage itself is recorded: lender, product, amount and key dates, linked to the client and applicants.
Application submitted
The case moves to Submitted. The pipeline, dashboards and reporting update automatically.
Mortgage offered
Offer received — the case advances, and any tasks that follow an offer land in the Action Centre.
Completion recorded
The case completes. It joins the completed-business reporting for the adviser and the company.
Fees and commissions reported
Proc fee, broker fee, insurance commissions and referral income are recorded against the case and roll into Gross and Net Written reporting.
Renewal date monitored
The product end date enters the renewal book, owned by the adviser and visible in configurable renewal windows.
The client returns
When the fix ends, the brokerage is ready first — full history, one view, no digging through old files.
Where the product is today
Designed and built for Blossomfield Mortgages around a real brokerage workflow — its pipeline, fee structures and renewal book. Production status and measured outcomes have not yet been published.
If you recognise these problems in your own sales or case workflow — whatever your industry — we'd like to walk you through the platform and hear how your operation differs. That's exactly how the product develops.
An operational tracking platform. In its mortgage configuration it is not a mortgage sourcing system, advice engine or compliance system, and not a replacement for regulated advice.
